Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services
Why three forms of magnesium instead of one?

Different forms behave differently in the body. One form might be great for absorption, another for muscle function, another for bone tissue. Single-form magnesium products optimise for one thing. We layer three because real recovery needs more than one. Yes, it costs us more to formulate. We think it's worth it.

I already take a multivitamin with magnesium. Do I need this?

If you're an active adult — gym, sports, physical job, long days on your feet — probably yes. The magnesium in most multivitamins is the cheapest form (oxide), in a low dose, and isn't formulated for recovery. This is a targeted recovery supplement, not a general daily mineral.

Will this help with muscle cramps?

Maybe. Magnesium deficiency is a common cause of cramps. If yours are caused by low magnesium (or low electrolytes after sweating), this can help. If your cramps come from dehydration, overuse, or a medical issue, this won't fix it. Worth trying, but adjust expectations.

What about sore muscles after workouts?

Many of our customers say they notice less next-day soreness. The combination of three magnesium forms plus zinc supports the recovery processes that happen overnight. That said — soreness depends on training intensity, sleep, protein intake, and a hundred other factors. This is one piece of the recovery puzzle, not the whole thing.

I'm not an athlete. I just walk my dog. Is this overkill?

Probably yes. If you're not actively training or doing physical work, our Sleep Complex (glycinate) or Digestive Complex (citrate) is more suited to your needs. We'd rather sell you the right product than the more expensive one.

When should I take it — before or after workout?

After that it is better. Pre-workout magnesium can sometimes feel sedating for some people, which is the opposite of what you want before training. Take it post-workout with food, or with dinner if you train later.

Why does it have zinc?

Zinc gets sweated out during exercise and is critical for protein synthesis, tissue repair, and immune function. Most athletes are mildly deficient and don't realise it. Vegetarians especially struggle to get enough zinc from food alone. Adding it makes this a real recovery formula instead of just another magnesium pill.

Can I take it with my whey protein or creatine?

Yes. There are no known absorption conflicts with standard fitness supplements. Many of our customers stack this with their existing routine.

Will it boost testosterone?

Some studies suggest zinc and magnesium support testosterone in deficient individuals. If your levels are already normal, you probably won't see a change. We're not going to claim this is a testosterone booster, that would be misleading.

What if I forget to take it on rest days?

Rest days are actually when this matters most. Recovery happens between workouts, not during. Try to be consistent on rest days specifically.

Is it safe at higher doses if I'm training really hard?

Don't double up without reason. Higher doses of zinc can deplete copper over time, and excess magnesium can cause loose stools. The recommended dose is enough for nearly everyone. If you have a specific reason to think you need more, talk to a sports nutritionist or doctor.

Why is this product in a pouch?

Capsule-based supplements like this one don't need rigid bottle protection. Pouches use significantly less plastic, ship lighter, and are 100% recyclable.

We use what's right for the product. Not what's cheapest, and not what's trendy.
